Ingrid Schyborger is a genre-crossing composer and bass player living in Stockholm. Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, she grew up in a small neighbourhood outside the city with a house full of musical instruments. She started with the piano at age of 5 and at the age of 9 she began playing classical cello and electric bass as well. At the age of 17 she picked up the double bass and quickly fell in love with the instrument.

Her debut album, “In Love With The World” was released on the 1st of November 2024 under Naxos Sweden/Prophone. It contains a quartet combined with a string quartet, a project she has been working on the past few years.

Ingrid’s music is lyrical. Her melodies tells the story about humanity, earth and society. Her compositions enchants the listener on a journey through different musical landscapes, while still containing room for interesting improvisational elements.

Ingrid is one of the most interesting artists in the contemporary music scene right now. She has played and performed with many prominent artists around the world, in Europe, Kenya, and in the US.
